I was asked to provide a photographic portrayal of this wonderful project in Boudhanhant, Nepal which pays very poor women from a begging and trash picking community for their beautiful handmade quilts. The profits from their subsequent sale pays for their children to attend school.
“I’ve been wanting to tell you that I think the photos you took in the begging camp in Kathmandu are amazing. Really. The best photos I’ve ever seen taken there. Somehow you absolutely captured the essence of life in that special little world, as well as the “heart” of the Quilts for Kids Nepal project. I am just blown away by the photos. The rich family life… the dignity of the kids… the school… the joy of the quilt-making ladies… you somehow just got it all down.”
